Etsy is Helping it’s Sellers Become More Omnichannel

Etsy is stepping up its offline commerce game and becoming more omnichannel.  It is offering it’s sellers custom credit card readers, developed by mobile commerce company Roam, for free because they want to help them take on more in-person sales. Etsy will take They are hoping that this will not only up in-person sales, but also will lead to gaining more useful data on customer sales for their vendors.

Etsy will be providing these vendors with data research from every sale for both in-person and online so that vendors can see their progress and gain valuable research, such as which item sold best at which event or which items sell better online versus in person. Etsy’s director of payments and multichannel sales, Camilla Valasquez, knows how crucial this data can be for their vendors and also sales overall.
